Honda aims 20% growth in sales next fiscal

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan-based Honda Motor Co, today said it targets sales of 15 lakh units in the next fiscal, a growth rate of 20 per cent over 2009-10. "Keeping the momentum of 10.7 lakh unit sales in 2008-09, HMSI is progressing well to surpass 12.5 lakh sales in the current financial year and is targetting a sales of 15 lakh units in next fiscal with a growth of 20 per cent over the current fiscal," HMSI President and CEO Shinji Aoyama told reporters at the 10th Auto Expo here.
