The markets have recovered from the low and touched a high of 16,495 - up 178 points from the day"s low of 16,317. The Sensex is now up 190 points (1.16%) at 16,479.

The Nifty is up 74 points (1.4%) at 4,927.
The BSE realty index has surged 2.7% to 3,448. Metals, IT and healthcare indices have added over 2% each.
Wipro has rallied 3.2% to Rs 676. Tata Steel and Sterlite have gained 2.9% each at Rs 575 and Rs 792, respectively. Hindalco has added 1.8% to Rs 153.
DLF has advanced 2.6% to Rs 325. Sun Pharma and SBI have added 2.4% each to Rs 1,452 and Rs 2,035, respectively.
HDFC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, NTPC and Tata Motors ahve moved up over 2% each. Other gainers include Reliance, TCS, Reliance Communications, Reliance Infrastrcuture, Jaiprakash Associates and Maruti Suzuki.
Howveer, Larsen & Tourbo continues to trade weak and is now down 1% at Rs 1,442.
The BSE market breadth is positive. Out of 2,498 shares traded, 1,625 have advanced while 826 have declined.
